Golf Day 2025

July brought great weather for the 10th annual golf day at Rufford Park.  Players took part in a four ball competition and an enjoyable dinner before presentations were made to the overall winners, The Brass Bandits. The course was in great shape and individual prizes were also given for longest drive, and nearest the pin on selected holes.  We rounded off with a very well supported raffle and thanks go to a number of local businesses and individuals who donated prizes.

Funds raised at  the golf day have enabled us to provide successful holidays clubs. They also help us to  provide diverse support, such as equipping a young person with a suit for an achievement award to hosting subsidised Christmas and Easter craft events at the Charity's community building, 'The Landmarks Centre.'  A highlight was our Christmas Festival, where every child received a gift from Santa's Grotto, spreading joy to families who might otherwise miss out on such experiences. Funds help towards activities that are free to join in - encouraging everyone to have a go. This immersive festive experience encouraged youngsters and their parents to make Christmas ornaments, cards and decorate gingerbread biscuits.  We intend to use this format as part of our annual Christmas offer at the Landmark Centre.

We would like to thank all our generous sponsors for their continued support that has impacted so many grateful families and children.   We trust everyone had a fantastic day of golf and eagerly anticipate celebrating with you at next year's event.
